- Mobility Visiting
Other mobility outside the SEMP program me is managed directly within the department in accordance with SUPSI regulations and directives as well as those of the department to which it belongs.
SUPSI-paid collaborations are managed by the human resources service; 'visiting' collaborations, i.e. those paid for by the university of origin or through scholarships, are managed by the SUPSI mobility network (International Office and mobility coordinators).
Visiting" mobilities must be regulated by agreements between the university of origin and SUPSI. In addition, the period of mobility at SUPSI for training/research purposes is subject to obtaining a permit to carry out an activity in Ticino, as well as to possession of health insurance cover recognised by the Canton of Ticino and professional liability insurance comparable with that of SUPSI employees.
The feasibility and contents of such mobility are defined by the person within the Department with whom the guest from the foreign university has made contact. The guest provides the coordinator / mobility coordinator with all the information for the drawing up of the agreement and for the application procedure for activities in Ticino at the competent administrative offices. The coordinator / departmental coordinator and the International Office support these activities, but under no circumstances is SUPSI responsible for obtaining permits. It is also the guest's responsibility to prepare the dossier and documents for the permit application.
The departmental mobility coordinators and the International Office are available for information and support and are happy to gather feedback on the experience so that it can be shared within our institution.
